Once again, unlike platforms like Facebook and Instagram, where you have a variety of people following you, in contrast, your email list will only comprise the demographic that you intend to cater to.

With your weekly newsletter or announcements, you are most likely to arrive into the inboxes of your subscribers in comparison to any other platform that is out there. You also have more control over what your newsletters should look and read like.

Email lists are the least expensive
If you are to market your new book on Facebook or Instagram, it will require a far steeper financial investment than maintaining an email list that comes in a variety of budget-friendly packages. 

While we are not discouraging you to use other platforms to market your book, in fact, you should use all available marketing tools that are at your disposal, but email marketing has proven to be one of the most influential ways in which an author can reach their readers directly. You may begin with a small subscriber count in the beginning, however, with time, the number will rise slowly and steadily.
